Rubber Slug "Javelin" Projectile 5Rds per Box
DESCRIPTION: A direct fire 12 gauge round which fires a 115 grain, 80 durometer rubber projectile allowing escalation of force from a safe distance prior to use of lethal means. The ROCKET accommodates tactical situations from 10 to 75 yards.
Background: The Rubber Fin "Javelin" Slug was developed to overcome the shortcomings of conventional rubber ammunition. Most rubber ammunition is designed to be skipped off the ground into the target. This form of firing can be adversely affected by snow, mud and soft grassy terrain. The Rubber Fin Rocket is designed as a direct fire, behavior modification round which is fired using conventional target acquisition techniques.
INCAPACITATION MECHANISM: The ROCKET fires a 115 grain rubber projectile, producing controlled and directed incapacitation by blunt impact trauma and excruciating pain through the transfer of 92 foot pounds of energy by each projectile.
PHYSICAL DATA: Size: Length = 2.5 inch, 12 gauge - Weight: 115 grains
This load can be used as a painful warning shot, but can also be lethal under some circumstances. Those who may be reluctant to shoot at another person even in their own defense can now control their personal space with greater confidence. This load also provides a greater margin of safety to innocent persons nearby or in adjoining rooms.
The available kinetic energy is shed quickly over distance. Penetration of the body is possible at close range. Some level of injury should be expected and can range from serious injury or death to painful welts or bruising. Results can vary based on the weapon used, distance to target, clothing, body weight and part of the body hit.
Shots to the lower body, legs and arms are less likely to cause serious injury, while impacting the head, neck, spine and upper chest are more likely to be serious. Shots to parts of the body with large muscle groups, soft tissue or covered by clothing will have a lesser likelihood of penetrating.
